Procrastination is a deadly killer and not an option for anyone who desires success.

Laziness comes in different forms. Which one are you operating under?

Stubbornness – Not willing to learn or take advice, particularly from people who have gone the path you are about to venture into, is massacre for anything you desire to do.

Letting go of the past is a painful process we must intentional submit to, if we are ever going to see our dream fulfilled.

Extra Thought-provoking idea:
Not willing to invest in oneself by learning and seeking out mentors is a completely counterproductive move.

I hope you have enjoyed what was shared in this podcast today. We must learn to take our life one day at a time, conquering one weakness at a time. But that will only happen if we make the decision to INTENTIONALLY TAKE ACTION, no matter how painful it may seem.

“Celebrity Center” Hosts Insight Event to Bridge the Gap Between Africa and America~Bestselling Author & African Oscar Award Winner, Princess Fumi Hancock is the Keynote Speaker.

In honor of Black History Month, the Nashville Church of Scientology known as the “Celebrity Center” will be hosting a unique event to take a look at African roots and how Americans today can stay true to their ancestry.

In a talk show-style setting, “Insight” will help bridge the gap between Black Americans and African roots by bringing together those who have been there and back and have an intimate knowledge of Africa and America today. The event will be hosted by Princess Fumi Hancock, who was born in the Emure Kingdom of Nigeria but has lived in the United States for several years.

The event will take place on February 13^th at 7pm at the Celebrity Center Church of Scientology’s community hall.

According to Princess Hancock, “It’s important to bring awareness back to our roots, and through this event we can bridge the gap.”

The panel will be comprised of the CEO of Let’s Go Innovate, a business coaching enterprise, the President of Adassa Adumori Foundation_Princess Fumi Hancock, a US based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in Tennessee, doing work in Africa , Brenda Purcell, Dawn T. Totty (A Home Designer and co-host of The Southern Warrior Sister Tribe Talk Radio, members of the Southern Warrior Sister Tribe.

Princess Hancock would like to encourage everyone to attend to discover more about their roots and about themselves. “Guests will leave inspired,” she says.

Part 2: When Mental illness Rocks Your World~Princess Fumi Tete-a-tete “Real Talk” with a Minister continues…

My weeks of gratitude continues this week with a continuation of the candid interview I had with a minute friend, Reverend Mary Leonard, (founder and President of Overcoming Faith Ministries, New Jersey). I want to take this opportunity to thank all those who reached out to me, that this blog has been a blessing to them. It is incredible to see the number of people whose lives have been touched with mental illness.

For success to take root in our lives, we also have to pay attention to our mental wellness. So, regardless of the life goal we may have, if this part of our lives are lacking…i.e. if we are living an unhealthy lifestyle, if mental illness is going unaddressed, the foundation for success in other areas of our lives is shaky.

This week, I continue wearing my clinical hat as a Mental Health Expert and share with you the part 2 (2 of 3 part series) I promised the last week. This few minutes of your life could change things for you. A reader who reached out to me after reading this article on linked in reminded me of the importance of education in understanding and gaining more awareness:
“It is still amazing to me what a negative stigma that mental illness has in our country. My Mom was diagnosed with Bi-polar disease when she was 40 y/o and I was in the 8th grade. It was a very confusing time because no one knew anything about it nor wanted to really talk about it. Research and education are key to not letting it get “swept under the rug” so thank you for taking the time to address it with your audience” – SH.

Hello Friends & Family,

This week has been a week of “gratitude” and simply that of “reflection”. Have you ever had those types of week lately? Where you are grateful that you are still alive, which means that there is hope, whatever you may be going through; reflection to all that transpired in 2014~ good, bad, indifferent? And wondering if there was a divine purpose for it all.

This week, I have chosen to wear my clinical hat as a Mental Health Expert. I chose to do this because I saw many posts about families, individuals dealing with Mental Illness and not fully understanding it. Another reason I chose to tackle this hot and delicate topic is to help others with their recovery journey. Today, I release from my vault a “tete-a-tete” discussion on this debilitating illness. More importantly, you do not have to be going through it to grab some nuggets of wisdom, after all we are all warriors. And warriors take the time out to READ, STUDY, EDUCATE, INFORM themselves about their surroundings.

So here is my ask:
Love yourself enough to read this blog, then watch the video presentation. If you won’t even invest time in yourself; then chances are SUCCESS may be difficult to achieve.

Dream Makers are great investors in themselves and that of others.

In this video, I speak with Reverend Mary Leonard, (founder and President of Overcoming Faith Ministries, New Jersey) a very dear friend of mine. I have known Minister Leonard for over 13 years and not once did we talk about her plight taking care of her brother who has Schizophrenia.
